[GEORGE CLOONEY] From a opening scene, in that Capitol Pictures “fixer” Eddie Mannix (a plain-spoken Josh Brolin) skips out of confession, it’s a discerning 27-hour shitstorm by high play as film star Baird Whitlock (George Clooney) gets abducted. The Coens’ funniest film given The Big Lebowski combines a crazy caper, a comrade plot, ’50s studio politics and a touching story about one man’s job in life into a cohesive, lightsome and quip-heavy comedy.
